Following one of the greatest four-year careers in Maritime volleyball history, Shannon Brady has moved off of the court and onto the sideline assuming the role of Assistant Volleyball Coach beginning in the fall of 2018. Brady will enter her second season as an assistant to head coach Michele Murray in 2019.

Brady, who was selected as the Maritime College Female Athlete of the Year in 2018, was a two-time Skyline All-Conference First Team selection and was also named the league's rookie of the year in her first season back in 2014.

Brady is the program's all-time leader with 1,053 kills as she is the only player in program history to reach the millennium mark. She is also the all-time leader with 914 digs, as well as sets played with 377. She holds the top-two single-season kills records including a program-best 321 as a freshman in 2014, and is also tied for the all-time with 103 sets played in a season, which came as a sophomore.

A two-time captain with the Privateers on the volleyball team, Brady also was a four-year member of the Maritime women's lacrosse team where she was also a team captain.

The Long Island native graduated from Bayport-Blue Point High School in Bayport, New York, where she was a four-sport athlete. Brady graduated with a degree in Naval Architecture in 2019 from Maritime.
