Biography
At Maritime:
2010: Junior Season – Mark played in 14 games coming out as a starter in 13 of them. He collected 30 ground balls and forced nine turnovers. On April 14, he had his best game, picking five ground balls when the squad played at Richard Stockton.
2009: Sophomore Season – Mark participated in 12 games. He grabbed 14 ground balls and caused three turnovers. His best game came against Wesleyan, when he grabbed 4 ground balls on March 11.
Mark will major in International Trade and Transportation and is part of the Regiment of Cadets and the NROTC.
Prior to Maritime:
Mark played for the Cougars of St. John the Baptist where he was named to the All-League team in 2006 and 2008. While in high school, he was also part of the football team, where he was also named All-League in 2008 and part of the wrestling team where he was named All-State in 2008 and All-League in 2007 and 2008. During his senior season, he was captain of the Lacrosse and Wrestling teams. He has been part of the initiative Toys for Tots, Cell Phones for Soldiers and various different youth clinics.
Personal:
Mark is the son of Beth and Mark. He has two siblings, Patrick (19) and Mary (17). Mark listed Nate Fick, USMC Captain, as the person he most admires and Jim Leonhard of the New York Jets as his favorite athlete. He aspires to become a commissioned Marine Corp officer.
