SUNY Maritime

2019-20: Played in 23 games for the Privateers, averaging 10.1 minutes per game off the bench. He finished his junior season with 55 rebounds and 75 points with an impressive field goal percentage of 43.9. Ruscillo came alive later in the season for Maritime as he helped lead the team to back-to-back wins against Mount Saint Vincent and St. Joseph's Brooklyn. Against the Dolphins he scored 11 points in 11 minutes on 7-7 shooting from the field. He followed it up the next game against the Bears by scoring a career high 14 points.

2018-19: Played in all 25 games for the Privateers and started in 12 of them, averaging 14.6 minutes per game throughout the season. He grabbed 69 rebounds and tallied 89 points during his sophomore campaign while shooting 39.8 percent from the field and 35.5 percent from behind the arc. In a road win against St. Joseph's Brooklyn, Ruscillo tallied nine rebounds and nine points, and then in the following game he dropped a season-high 12 points on 5-6 shooting against Old Westbury. His season was then highlighted with another strong performance against St. Joseph's Brooklyn with another 10-point performance.

2017-18: Saw time in 23 of the team’s 25 contests during his freshman season with the Privateers…made his collegiate debut and played two minutes in the conference opener at St. Joseph’s (LI) (11/21)…recorded a steal at Lehman (11/27)…pulled down three rebounds and a block at Old Westbury (12/7)…had six points and a season-best two blocks in seven minutes against Merchant Marine (1/8)…had four rebounds and connected on a bucket at home against Farmingdale (1/30)…had a season-high five rebounds and also had three points on the road at New Rochelle (2/11)…played eight minutes in the season finale against Sarah Lawrence (2/17).

High School: Graduated from Carle Place High School in Carle Place, New York in 2017…was a three-sport athlete for the Frogs and played basketball, soccer and lacrosse…was an All-Conference basketball selection in 2016 and was also an All-County honoree as a senior in 2017…also selected as Team MVP and was a team captain as a senior…was an All-Conference soccer player as a senior as well…part of the Long Island Championship soccer team as a senior and the Nassau County championship team as a junior…played club basketball for the Long Island Lightning and the Wantagh Warriors.
 
Personal: Son of Janeann and Richard Ruscillo…has three siblings; Nick, Taylor and Joe…plans to graduate with a degree in Mechanical Engineering while also obtaining his U.S. Coast Guard Engine License while studying at Maritime.
