At Maritime:
2011: Senior Season – Saw time in spring drills at Tight End for the Privateers.
2010: Junior Season – Michael played in 9 games and contributed 7 tackles on the season also getting in on one Tackle for Loss and one Sack.
2009: Sophomore Season – Michael moved over to defense after playing offensive line in 2008. Seeing time in four games, he was named the Offensive Attack Team Player of the Week vs. Becker.
2008: Freshman Season – Named the Offensive Attack Team Player of the Week against Salve Regina and Husson. Michael also made Academic Dean’s List.
Michael is majoring in Marine Engineering and will pursue a USCG Engine License.
Prior to Maritime:
Michael played for Coach Blount and Coach Rayshwan Tiller at Stanton College Prep where he received Academic All-County honors. He was also named to the All North Shrine Bowl Team. Michael swam and ran track in high school. Michael also played basketball in high school, where he was a team captain.
Personal:
His parents are Julia and Bill Neimes. Michael also has a brother, Ryan, and two sisters, Amber and Rachel. He serves as the team’s huddle leader for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and played on the Maritime basketball team his Sophomore year helping the team to 19 wins.
