Gerard Tully finished his second season on the Maritime Football coaching staff in 2016.
No stranger to Division III Football, Tully was a member of perennial power Hobart from 2008-11 as an outside linebacker. While at Hobart, he was part of teams that earned berths to the NCAA Tournament in both his freshman and senior seasons while with the Statesmen after clinching Liberty League Championships.
In addition to his play on the gridiron, Tully has served our country as a First Lieutenant Platoon Commander of the United States Marine Corps since April of 2014. In addition to his time as a First Lieutenant in Tampa, Florida, Tully served as a Second Lieutenant in Camp Pendleton, California for several months.
Before heading to the West Coast, he served at the Recruiting Station in Garden City, New York as a Second Lieutenant for several months after a nine-month stint in Virginia at both Camp Barrett, and Marine Corps Base Quantico.
Tully graduated from Hobart with a degree in History in 2012.
The Long Island native and St. Anthony’s High School product, also spent over six years as a lifeguard, and was also an assistant coach with the Nassau Country Club youth swim team.
