In 2011, he played wide receiver and made eight catches for 72 yards, while also seeing time on defense and made nine stops. He also saw action during the 2009 season and made one carry, and collected three pass receptions on offense, while also recording two tackles during his sophomore campaign.

During his stops at both Bryant and Colgate, Basil was also a strength and conditioning intern. Serving 10 months in that capacity at Bryant, in addition to his seven months interning at Colgate.

Basil is NSCA Certified as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist, and also CPR/AED Certified through the American Red Cross.

He acquired his Bachelor’s Degree in May of 2012 from Colgate University, and later received his Master’s in Business Administration from Bryant a year later in 2013.
