Constantia Constantiou

Constantia Constantinou holds a Masters in Arts and a second Masters in Library Information Science. Her work has been globally transformative in librarianship and higher education by removing barriers to access, promoting collaboration across libraries, and serving as a teacher and a mentor.

Ms. Constantinou’s scholarly work and research on the principles of information literacy, library system technology, assessment, and student learning outcomes in higher education in countries such as China, Croatia, Cyprus, Finland, Greece, Korea, Ireland, Russia, Spain, Turkey, Ukraine, and the United States.

Ms. Constantinou is recognized as an effective leader in the library profession by serving on academic committees and library organizations. Ms. Constantinou holds the highest faculty rank of the Distinguished Librarian at the State University of New York. She is a Fulbright Scholar (2011) and a Fulbright Senior Specialist (2005), in the country of Cyprus.

Ms. Constantinou is the Faculty Advisor/Academic Coach of the football team. Her work with the football team aims to ensure high scholarly standards of academic excellence for all players. In 2012, thanks to the efforts of Ms. Constantinou, the football team posted its highest ever team GPA and placed 4 members on the Academic All-ECFC squad. Senior, Martin “Joe” Brown was named to the CoSIDA-Capital One Academic All-District team, a first for the Privateers.
