SUNY Maritime

2018: Played in all 11 games... Named to ECFC All-Academic Team... Second-Team All-ECFC... 900# club member in the offseason lifting program. Member of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee for football.

2017: Worked his way into the rotation at offensive line as the primary substitute and saw action in seven games on the season. Part of the offensive line effort that was named Offensive Player of the Game against Anna Maria. Member of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee for football.

2016: Served on the offensive attack team throughout his freshman season. He won Attack Team Player of the Week for his efforts preparing for Gallaudet.
 
Academics: Mike is in the regiment of cadets and is majoring in Maritime Studies with a U.S. Coast Guard Deck License with a minor in law. Earned Academic All-ECFC in 2017. Earned Academic Admiral’s List in fall 2017 and Academic Dean’s List spring 2018.
 
Prior to Maritime: Attended Wantagh High School where he played for Coach Kieth Sachs and was Scholar Athlete and a 2x Big Four champion. Also participated in baseball and bowling. Active in the school and community as Church worker, Key club, Junior chamber of commerce, and a hospital volunteer.
 
Personal: Parents are Sharon and Thomas Korwan and his brother, Tom, was ECFC Offensive Lineman of the Year in 2017 and graduated in 2018.
