SUNY Maritime

2019-20: Started in all 25 games for the Privateers and hit the 1000 point mark early in the season by scoring 31 points in a home win against SUNY New Paltz. He finished the year as the top scorer for the second straight season with 365 points and an average of 14.6 points per game. He scored 20+ points in seven games throughout the year and finished above 31 percent shooting from the field and three-point range. His conference season was highlighted by a 27-point performance in a road win against St. Joseph's Brooklyn. He played in 801 minutes for the Privateers in his final season and averaged 32 minutes played per game. At the 2019-20 Maritime Athletics Awards show he earned Male Individual Performance of the Year for his 1000 point game against SUNY New Paltz.

2018-19: McGovern stepped into the spotlight in his junior year as he emerged as the Privateers top scorer by scoring 414 points and averaging 16.6 per game. He started in all 25 games for the Privateers and averaged 32 minutes per game. He attempted 231 three-point shots on the year and managed an impressive 35.9 percent from behind the arc. In the Privateers second game of the year, he dropped 31 points in a win against CCNY on 50 percent shooting from the field and the three-point line. His season was also highlighted by a 32-point performance against conference foe Mount Saint Vincent. Additionally, he scored 20+ points in seven other games throughout the year.

2017-18: Appeared in all 25 games for the Privateers during his sophomore season and also had starts in 16 contests…ended the season fourth on the team in minutes played with 717 as he averaged 28.7 minutes per game…was third on the team in overall field goals made with 111 while also leading the team with 70 three-point field goals…was second on the team in free-throw percentage at .792 from the line…opened the season with a bang as he knocked down six three-pointers and led the team with 29 points on the game against York (N.Y.) (11/15)…had a dozen points on 6-of-11 shooting on the road at Mitchell (11/26)…netted 17 points including five three-pointers in action against Old Westbury (12/7)…knocked down another five three-pointers and also had three rebounds at Yeshiva (12/19)…picked up 15 points at Mount St. Mary (1/2)…followed that up with 18 points in 36 minutes of play in a start against Purchase (1/6)…played a season-high 42 minutes and collected 28 points as he converted on six three-pointers at Sarah Lawrence (1/13)…sank 10 from the free throw line as he finished the game with 23 points at St. Joseph’s (Bklyn) (1/16)…had 19 points and a season-best five rebounds back at home against Old Westbury (1/20)…scored 10 points with a season-best three assists versus St. Joseph’s (LI) (1/23)…had another five three-point baskets and was also 6-of-6 from the stripe as he tallied 27 points at home against Yeshiva (1/25)…knocked down a dozen points at Mount St. Vincent (1/27)…had 18 points on 6-of-12 shooting at Merchant Marine (2/3)…converted on six field goals as he finished the game with 19 points against Purchase (2/7)…had a dozen points at New Rochelle (2/11)…ended the year with 17 points on 6-of-13 shooting in the season finale against Sarah Lawrence (2/17).
