SUNY Maritime

2018:

2017: Played in all 11 games on special teams and defensive line as a primary substitute. Also contributed on the defensive attack team being named Player of the Week against Husson. Son’s of the American Legion-White Plains presented him with the Lt. Eugene Evans-Lt. Col Eli Page-Howard College Football Player of the Year Award.  

2016: Saw action in nine games on the defensive line and special teams.
 
Academics: Alex is in the regiment of cadets and is majoring in Marine Transportation with a USCG Deck License. Member of the Maritime NROTC Unit pursuing a commission in the USMC. Earned Academic Dean’s List for fall 2016, fall 2017 and spring 2018.
 
Prior to Maritime: Attended Chaminade High School High School where he played for Coach Stephen Boyd and won the Oliver Dejesu Award (Co-MVP) and was a three year captain. Was also an all-conference player in the CHSFL and also participated in wrestling, lacrosse, and rugby. Was active in the school and community as volunteer at the Wounded Warrior Project Babylon bike race, Emmaus volunteer program, and sodality weekly prayer service. 

Personal: Parents are Tony and Stefanie Cappellino and he has two brothers Aiden and Anthony. Participates in Rugby at Maritime.
