At Maritime:
2016: Senior Season - 800# Club member in the offseason lifting program.

2015: Junior Season - First Team All-ECFC Fullback starting in all 10 games at fullback. Brett was the team’s leading scorer on the season with 11 touchdowns and 66 points. He was the team’s leading rusher with 789 yards on 135 attempts and he caught five passes out of the backfield scoring on two of those attempts. He was named Offensive Player of the Game against Maine Maritime and Becker. 800# Club member in the offseason lifting program.

2014: Sophomore Season - Played in eight games as the primary backup at fullback and also as a top special teams performer. Gained 107 yards on 21 carries and scored a his first collegiate touchdown in the season finale against Gallaudet. He was named Special Teams Player of the Week against Norwich.

2013: Freshman Season – Appeared in eight games for the Privateers totaling 92 rushing yards. Brett also contributed on special teams with three tackles. 

Academics: Brett is majoring in Marine Transportation with a USCG Deck License. Earned Academic Dean's List for the Fall of 2014.

Prior to Maritime: Brett played under Coach Ted Swavely at Rome Free Academy and was named the most Improved Offensive Player. He also played Lacrosse and ran Track.

Personal: Brett’s parents are Katherine and Barry McKinney.
