Biography

At Maritime:

2011: Senior Season -

2010: Junior Season – Jason played in all 11 games for the Privateers and was named Defensive Player of the Week against Castleton.  His aggressive style led to big plays as he tallied 4.5 Tackles for Loss of 21 yards, 2 Sacks for 16 yards and 9 tackles.  He also forced one fumble on the year and picked up another fumble against Norwich, advancing it 14 yards to the Cadet 6 yard line, setting up a TD on the next play.  Received Navy Level Award in the off season program lifting 1370 lbs in his 4 max outs.

2009: Sophomore Season - Jason began the season in the rotation for defensive line and ended up starting 6 games in the middle of the season.  Jason stepped up his production tallying nine tackles (3 assisted), a tackle for loss and a forced fumble. He was voted the seasons Work Ethic Award by his team mates.

2008: Freshman Season - Jason appeared in five games helping mostly on Special Teams. Named the Defensive Attack Team Player of the Week against Gallaudet.

Jason is majoring in Mechanical Engineering while pursuing a USCG Engine License.

Prior to Maritime:

Jason played for Coach Cusmano at Attica High School. Jason was a member of the GR All-Star Team.

Personal:

His parents are Karen and Richard Burry.  His brother also attends Maritime College.
