At Maritime:

2012: Junior Season – Tyler received Maroon Level Award in the off season program lifting 1005 lbs in his 4 max outs.

2011: Sophomore Season- Tyler played in all 10 games and took over the starting QB role in the 3^rd game in a 13-7 victory over rival USMMA-King’s Point and was named the ECFC Offensive Player of the Week for this effort.  He finished the season as the team’s Offensive Most Valuable Player and leading the team in Total Offense 1255 yards on the season.  He rushed for 2 TD’s and 485 yards on 133 carries and added 3 TD’s and 770 yards on 54 completions through the air.  Tyler was also named the team’s Offensive Player of the Week against Western Connecticut and Norwich.  

2010: Freshman Season- Tyler solidified his position as the back-up quarterback and saw action in 6 games keeping the offense on track during several critical situations.  He rushed for a total of 94 yards and connected on 5 passes for 114 yards.  His lone passing TD, for 65 yards, was the longest completion on the Privateer season.  He was named Offensive Attack Team Player of the Week for Mass Maritime and was voted by his teammates as Offensive Attack Team Player of the Year.

Academics: Tyler is majoring in Marine Technology and Small Vessel Operations with a USCG Deck License.  He made Academic Dean’s List for the Spring Semester in 2011. 

Prior to Maritime:

Tyler played for Coach Rob Schwartz where he received All League Honorable Mention his junior year, and All-League his senior year. Tyler also played Lacrosse.

Tyler’s parents are Laurie and Matthew Trodden.
