At Maritime:
2008: Junior Season - Named Co-Captian. Started all 9 games for the Privateers. Led the team in 50.5 total tackles, recorded 11 tackles for losses, and 3 sacks. He also registered 4 pass break-ups and 1 fumble recovery. Named the Defensive Player of the Week vs. Salve Regina and Gallaudet.

2007: Started 8 games for the Privateers. Recorded 43.5 tackles, 5 tackles for loss, and 3 sacks. Recovered 1 fumble. Michael was voted by his teammates as the weekly warface captain vs. Morrisville and named Defensive player of the week vs. Mass Maritime.

2006: Started 7 games for the Privateers. Registered 30 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, and 5.5 sacks. Also played on special teams.

Michael played for Coach Pete Cerullo at Smithtown West High School where he was named All-Divisioin and All-County
