At Maritime:

2010: Senior Season-

2009: Junior Season – John played all but one game, missing the USMMA contest with an injury, rushing for 7 TD’s and 299 yards on 47 carries.  He pulled down 9 passes for 196 yards and scored the longest TD in Maritime history hauling in an 83yd pass against Mass Maritime in the season opener.  John also handled the kick return duties fielding 8 punts and 10 kickoffs for 250 yards.  John was named Offensive Player of the Week against Anna Maria and Gallaudet and was awarded Honorable Mention All ECFC for the season.

2008: Sophomore Season - Started the last 2 games of the year and appeared in all but one throughout the year. John rushed for 216 yards on 26 carries and 1 TD. Also a threat through the air, John had 6 receptions for a team leading 179 yards and 3 TDs. John made in impact on special teams as well, returning 4 punts for 20 yards and 22 kickoffs for 368 yards. Named the Special Teams Player of the Week vs. Mass Maritime and Offensive Player of the Week against Gallaudet.

John is majoring in Marine Transportation with a USCG Deck License and is a member of the Maritime NROTC Unit in the Merchant Marine Reserve Program.

Prior to Maritime:

John played for Coach Rich Reichart at St. Anthony's High School where he received All-Long Island and All-League honors as well as a Daily News All-Star.  He received the Most Valuable Player award for St. Anthony’s and also received the Marine Corps award.  John also played Lacrosse in high school and spent his freshman year of eligibility at Courtland State University before transferring to Maritime College.

Personal:

His parents are Alice and John Gagliano. His twin brother is teammate Anthony.
