Biography

At Maritime:

2011: Senior Season

2010: Junior Season – Madison played in 10 games, missing only the season finale against Gallaudet due to injury.  As a Wide Receiver, Madison turned in his best season pulling in 6 carries for 72 yards with a 31 yard strike coming against Mt. Ida. Madison continued to excel in the special teams game handling all kicking duties and also long snapper for the Punt Team.  He earned ECFC All-Conference honors being named Player of the Week against Castleton and Norwich.  Madison averaged 55.5 yards on 53 kickoffs, kicking 5 into the endzone for touchback and recovered his own surprise onside kick in the conference championship game against Norwich.  Not afraid to try the long Field Goal, Madison missed on 4 kicks over 40 yards but connected on 3 kicks from 37-39 yards.   He finished the season contributing 34 points.  

2009: Sophomore Season – Madison played in every game for the Privateers at Wide Receiver hauling in 5 passes for 38 yards.  He excelled in his primary kicking duties averaging 58 yards on 32 kickoffs with 4 touchbacks.  The Kickoff unit finished the season ranked 24th nationally behind Madison’s strong leg.  He also connected on 3 Field Goals during the season and just missed a 54 yard attempt against Castleton State hitting the crossbar in front of a homecoming crowd.  Madison also shared extra point duties and was twice named ECFC Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance against Wagner and Castleton State.  His team mates voted him the seasons Special Teams Most Valuable Player.

2008: Freshman Season - Madison appeared in 8 games for the Privateers where he recorded 3 receptions for 35 yards. Madison also split the kicking responsibility in which he had 21 kick-offs for a total of 1172 yards and 1 touchback.

Madison is majoring in Marine Transportation with a USCG Deck License.

Prior to Maritime:

Madison played for Coach George Sneed at Tavares High School where he was named Special Teams player of the year. Madison also played track and field and soccer in high school.

Personal:

His parents are Tracey and Douglas Leary.  His brother Ryan was one of Maritime’s first football recruits and was an ECFC First Team All-Conference Defensive Back in 2009 and Team MVP in 2008.
