MORRISVILLE, NY – The Maritime College women's soccer team traveled to SUNY Morrisville for a non-conference matchup on Saturday. The contest was scoreless at halftime, but the Mustangs (3-2-0) notched four second-half tallies to earn a 4-0 victory over the Privateers (1-2-1) at Drake Field.

Devon Etienne (Garden City, NY) made a pair of saves in the first minute of the game and was credited with nine total in the opening half. The Privateers also had a pair of first half scoring chances, but SUNY Morrisville's Ainslie Romasco stopped back-to-back attempts by
Eva Garcia (Rockville Centre, NY) and
Emani Abdool (Islandia, NY) in the 17
th minute to preserve the 0-0 score.
It would remain scoreless until the 49
th minute, when the Mustangs' Briana Repscher was able to send one just past Etienne's outstretched hands and under the crossbar. Gina Blake made it 2-0 in the 66
th minute before assisting on Ashlyn Seguin's 72
nd-minute tally. Chloe Wilde added another goal in the 87
th minute, closing out the scoring in SUNY Morrisville's 4-0 win.
Etienne (1-2-1) finished with 10 saves in the loss. Romasco (3-2-0), meanwhile, notched four saves in 86 minutes between the pipes for the Mustangs.
Up next for Maritime is a 7 p.m. contest against CCNY (1-3-0) on Wednesday. The game, which will be the first meeting between the teams since 2021, will take place at Randall's Island, Field 10.
