Maritime Set For 25-Match Slate In 2026

2026 Schedule

THROGGS NECK, NY –
The Maritime College volleyball team will play 25 matches during the 2026 campaign, including 11 home contests at Riesenberg Gymnasium.  The season gets underway on Sept. 1, when the Privateers visit John Jay.

After the matchup with the Bloodhounds, Maritime plays its first tri-match of the season on Sept. 5.  The Privateers will take on host Mitchell, as well as Mass Maritime.  Maritime then travels to Baruch on Sept. 8 before opening its home schedule against Brooklyn on Sept. 10.  The Privateers welcome Albertus Magnus to Fort Schuyler on Sept. 15 and head to FDU-Florham on Sept. 17 leading into their home tri-match against Pratt and York on Sept. 19.

Maritime visits CCNY for the first time since 2007 on Sept. 24, then plays in its third tri-match of the month at Drew on Sept. 26.  In addition to the host Rangers, the only first-time opponent on this year's schedule, the Privateers will take on Delaware Valley that day.  Maritime returns home for its Skyline Conference opener against St. Joseph's LI on Oct. 1 before back-to-back Skyline road matches at Purchase (Oct. 3) and Merchant Marine (Oct. 6).

On Oct. 8, Hunter visits Riesenberg Gymnasium for the first time ever.  The Privateers' only previous meeting with the Hawks was a neutral-site affair in 2006.  Skyline play then resumes on Oct. 10, when Maritime heads to Farmingdale for the first of five straight conference matchups.  That string also includes contests at St. Joseph's Brooklyn (Oct. 13) and Old Westbury (Oct. 21), as well as home tilts with Sarah Lawrence (Oct. 15) and Manhattanville (Oct. 17).

Non-conference play concludes with a short trip to Lehman on Oct. 23.  That will also be the Privateers' last road match of the season.  Maritime ends the year with a three-match homestand against Mount St. Mary (Oct. 27), Mount St. Vincent (Oct. 29) and Yeshiva (Nov. 4).  The Privateers will celebrate Senior Night prior to the Yeshiva contest.

This season's Skyline Tournament will once again feature six teams, with the higher seed hosting every match.  Should Maritime qualify, it will mark the Privateers' first postseason appearance since 2017.
