THROGGS NECK, NY – For the second time this season, freshman Thomas McCarvil (Port Washington, NY) of the Maritime College men's lacrosse team has been chosen as the Skyline Conference Rookie of the Week.  He had six points in the Privateers' 14-11 loss to Geneseo on Saturday.

McCarvil scored four times and added two assists against the Knights.  It was his third hat trick of the season, and he leads the team with 16 goals.  In addition, McCarvil picked up a career-best three ground balls while causing a pair of turnovers in Saturday's contest.

He previously took home Skyline Rookie of the Week honors on Feb. 23.  McCarvil and Farmingdale's Ethan Vargas have split the four awards handed out this season, with each player winning it twice.

Maritime (2-3) looks to snap a three-game losing streak on Wednesday, when Hartford (2-3) visits Reinhart Field at 7 p.m.  It will be the first-ever meeting between the programs.
