THROGGS NECK, NY – The Maritime College Department of Athletics is saddened by the passing of former Athletic Director James Migli.  Migli, who served as Maritime's Athletic Director for nearly 20 years, passed away on Dec. 28 at his home in Florida.

Migli was hired as Athletic Director in 1983, taking over for the legendary William Roger Reinhart, and held the position until 2002.  During his tenure, he oversaw the construction and dedication of Reinhart Field, as well as Maritime's transition to a full member of NCAA Division III.  The Privateers later joined the Skyline Conference in 1996-97.
