YONKERS, NY – The Maritime College women's soccer team played its third game in seven days on Tuesday. The contest was scoreless at halftime, but Sarah Lawrence (5-6-0, 2-2-0 Skyline) found the back of the net three times in the second half to post a 3-0 victory over the Privateers (3-5-0, 0-5-0 Skyline) at Fleming Field.

Lizzie Pomaro (Farmingville, NY) was a big reason why the game remained 0-0 for the opening 45 minutes. She faced eight first-half shots and made five saves. The Privateers had a good chance at breaking the deadlock themselves, but

Lynn Rech got the Gryphons on the board in the 63
rd minute, and she snuck another shot past Pomaro six minutes later to make it 2-0. Cora Colvin then gave Sarah Lawrence a 3-0 lead in the 72
nd minute.
Brianne Etienne (Garden City, NY) had a great chance on the other end, but the Gryphons defense kept it out of the net to preserve the shutout.
Sarah Lawrence outshot Maritime 18-3, and Pomaro (3-5-0) finished with nine saves. Lee made two saves over the first 45 minutes, while Maya Pfeiffer (3-2-0) earned the win after playing the second half in net for the Gryphons.
After playing three of its last four on the road, Maritime returns to Reinhart Field on Saturday, when Manhattanville (5-2-2, 3-0-1 Skyline) visits at 12 p.m.
