18236The women's volleyball team faces three tough Skyline Conference games this week that will be crucial to playoff qualifications. The Privateers are currently 2-4 in conference play and are two wins back from sixth place Old Westbury who are 4-4. Maritime will need to secure a win against the Gryphons on Tuesday night and then look to upend the Mariners or Rams on Sunday's tri-match to keep playoff hopes alive. With senior middle blocker Meredith Hayes (Houston, Texas/St. Agnes Academy) back in action, the Privateers offense has improved vastly over the last few games and they will continue to run their offense through their middle hitters and keep the defense on its heels.

Men's Soccer:
Tuesday, Oct. 16 vs. Purchase College 8 p.m. Reinhart Field
18237The men's soccer team will look to continue its historic 2018 season as they hope to improve to 9-0 at home against the Panthers on Tuesday night. They will hope to secure home field advantage in the playoffs with just three conference games remaining on their schedule. Maritime's offense is currently sixth in the country in total goals scored with 54 this season and have outscored opponents at home by a whopping 40-2 margin. Purchase comes in with a record of 2-3-1 in Skyline play and will hope to keep its playoff hopes alive as they travel to Reinhart Field.

Women's Soccer:

18238The women's soccer team will take on Purchase College on Saturday afternoon in a winnable conference matchup for the Privateers. Senior goalkeeper Cammie Havens (Point Pleasant, N.J./Point Pleasant Borough) continues to solidify her legacy as the one of the greatest goalkeepers to wear Maritime colors by adding 90 saves this season to her program-leading save total. The Point Pleasant, NJ native will look to turn everything away that the Panthers send her way on Saturday afternoon.
