THROGGS NECK, N.Y. – The Maritime women's soccer team played host to the Lehman Lightning on Wednesday evening, and played a full 110 minutes on Reinhart Field with the game ending in a scoreless draw.

Maritime had nine shots on the day including seven on target. The team was led by freshmen Caitlin Etienne (Garden City, N.Y./Garden City) and Melissa Winberry (West Islip, N.Y./West Islip), who each had three shots on goal. Fellow freshman MacKenzie Fabiani (Bayport, N.Y./Bayport-Blue Point) also registered one shot on goal, while both senior Jessica Yee (Freehold, N.J./Freehold) and sophomore Leigh Kouril (Yorktown Heights, N.Y./Yorktown) both had off-target shots.

The Privateers played a strong defensive game as junior goalkeeper Cammie Havens (Point Pleasant, N.J./Point Pleasant Borough) made five saves on the day. Havens along with Kouril and fellow defenders Sara Wright (East Islip, N.Y./East Islip), Ashley Giorgio (Islip, N.Y./Islip) and Kayla Kelly (South Setauket, N.Y./Ward Melville) held Lehman to just five shots on goal through the match.
