Women's Soccer Defeated, 6-1, by Manhattanville on Reinhart Field

THROGGS NECK, N.Y. – The Maritime women's soccer team fell to 3-2-1 on the year with a 6-1 loss to the Manhattanville Valiants on Saturday afternoon on Reinhart Field.
 
The Privateers struck first with their goal in the 8th minute by freshman MacKenzie Fabiani (Bayport, N.Y./Bayport-Blue Point), assisted by senior Jessica Yee (Freehold, N.J./Freehold).
 
In the opening half Maritime was outshot 20-3 by Manhattanville but they did win the corner kicks battle 1-0.
 
Overall for the game, Maritime was outshot 34-5 including 17-2 for shots on goal while Manhattanville won the corner kicks 2-1. Junior goalkeeper Cammie Havens (Point Pleasant, N.J./Point Pleasant Borough) had 11 saves on the match.
 
Maritime (3-2-1) will be back in action on Wednesday night when they host York at 7 p.m. on Reinhart Field.
 
Manhattanville (2-3-1) will resume play on Tuesday, when the team hosts Lehman at 5 p.m.
