NEW YORK, N.Y. – The Maritime Women's Soccer team travelled to Randall's Island on Wednesday evening for a non-conference matchup against the John Jay Bloodhounds. The final score saw John Jay pick up the victory by a 2-0 score.

In goal, sophomore goalkeeper
Cammie Havens (Point Pleasant, N.J./Point Pleasant Borough) made 25 saves on the afternoon, which was a season-high for the netminder. The save total was also tied for the second largest save total in a single match, tied with
Meghin Paczkowski '16, who stopped 25 shots in 2012 against Old Westbury. Havens holds the single-match record at 28, which she set during her freshman season at Farmingdale.

All four of Maritime's shots on the afternoon were taken by junior
Gayle Woods (East Greenbush, N.Y./Columbia), who had two of her four shots on target.

John Jay scored twice in the match, with the first goal of the contest coming in the 37th minute of play. The 1-0 lead held until deep in the second half, when John Jay scored in the 82nd minute of play to cap off the scoring at two.

Maritime (3-8, 1-2 Skyline) will be on the road this Saturday in a return to league play as the Privateers visit Mount St. Mary at 12 p.m. from Kaplan Field.

John Jay (4-5, 1-1 CUNYAC) will play host to Union College on Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m. on Randall's Island.
