Women’s Soccer Visits Manhattanville in Non-Conference Tilt

PURCHASE, N.Y. – The Maritime Women's Soccer team was back on the road on Tuesday evening, and fell to the Manhattanville Valiants by the score of 5-0 on GoValiants.com Field.
 
The Privateers were led by sophomore goalkeeper Cammie Havens (Point Pleasant, N.J./Point Pleasant Borough), who once again tied her season-high with 19 saves on the afternoon against the Valiants.
 
Junior Maritza Tenezaca (Corona, N.Y./Aviation) made her first career start and also recorded the first shot of her career during the contest.
 
Manhattanville scored three times in the opening half of play, then later went on to add two more goals in the second half against the Privateers to cap off the scoring at five.
 
Maritime (3-6-0, 1-1-0 Skyline) will return home for a Skyline Conference matchup on Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. as the Privateers welcome in the Mount St. Vincent Dolphins for a 2 p.m. start.
 
Manhattanville (2-3-1, 0-0-0 MAC Freedom) will travel to Western Connecticut State on Thursday, for a 4 p.m. kickoff against the Colonials.
