UTICA, N.Y. – The Maritime Men's Soccer team wrapped up its weekend visiting upstate New York as the Privateers took on the Skidmore Thoroughbreds in the final match of the Utica Pioneer Invitational. Skidmore ended the game on top by a 4-0 score.

Anthony Sblendorio (Bay Shore, N.Y./Bay Shore) registered 15 saves as he played the entire match for Maritime.

The Privateers were only able to muster three shots as junior
Anthony D'Ancona (Bronx, N.Y./Cardinal Spellman), sophomore
Parker Gallt (Plainfield, Ill./Plainfield South), and freshman
Thomas Langkafel (Carmel, N.Y./Carmel) recorded shots for the Privateers on the afternoon.

Skidmore controlled the entirety of the first half and scored twice in a two-minute span. The Thoroughbreds added two more goals after the break and cruised to the victory.

Sblendorio made nine saves in the opening stanza, and stopped six more shots in the second half.

Maritime (3-2) will return home on Wednesday evening and take on the Lehman Lightning from Reinhart Field at 7:30 p.m.

Skidmore (1-2) will face Utica at home in Saratoga Springs on Wednesday evening at 7 p.m.Â
