THROGGS NECK, N.Y. – The Maritime women's soccer team fell at home by the score of 2-0 on Reinhart Field to the Sarah Lawrence Gryphons.
Junior forward
Gayle Woods (East Greenbush, N.Y./Columbia) had Maritime's lone shot of the evening, while sophomore
Cammie Havens (Point Pleasant, N.J./Point Pleasant Borough) made 12 stops in net for the Privateers.
For Havens, she now has 211 saves on the season as she is the first goalkeeper in program history to reach the 200-save plateau having already set the single-season record for saves in her previous contest against Farmingdale on Friday evening. Havens passed
Meghin Paczkowski '16 on Friday, who tallied 194 saves during the 2012 season.
In addition to her saves, Havens crossed over 1,500 minutes played in goal at 1,510 minutes, which is fifth all time and also eclipses her previous career-high of 1,494 set a year ago.
Sarah Lawrence scored its two goals of the contest in the 35th and added a late strike in the 83rd minute to pick up the Skyline Conference win.
Maritime (4-13-0, 1-6-0 Skyline) will look to close out its home season on a high note, when the team plays host to the Purchase Panthers for a 2 p.m. start on Reinhart Field this Saturday.
Sarah Lawrence (4-9-0, 2-6-0 Skyline) will play its final road game of the season on Saturday, when the team travels to the Aviator Sports Complex in Brooklyn, N.Y. to take on the St. Joseph's (Bklyn) Bears at 7 p.m.
