Men’s Lacrosse Preview: Wednesday’s Game Against FDU-Florham Moved Up To 5 p.m.; Kelly Earns Skyline Honor Roll Nod

        THROGGS NECK, N.Y. (March 5, 2013) – The Maritime men's lacrosse team (1-3) will play host to the FDU-Florham Devils (0-3) on Wednesday at Reinhart Field. The start time to the game has been moved up to 5 p.m. due to the impending snow storm that is scheduled to hit the area later in the evening on Wednesday.
 
Kelly Earns Skyline Weekly Honor Roll Nod
        On Monday, the Skyline Conference announced that Privateer freshman Tom Kelly (Hauppauge, N.Y./Hauppauge) was named to the league's men's lacrosse weekly honor roll. The accolade comes after Kelly's performances in the Privateers opening four games of the season.
 
        The rookie scored seven goals and added one assist to help Maritime to a 1-3 record over the opening week of 2013. He also contributed with nine shots on goal, six groundballs and three caused turnovers in the four contests. On Friday night at Emmanuel College, Kelly earned his first career hat trick.

Inside The Series With FDU-Florham
        The Privateers have only faced the Devils once under fourth-year head coach Dan Lawrence and that was during the 2012 campaign last season. FDU-Florham came out on top with a 7-3 home victory on March 7.

        In that 7-3 loss last season, the Privateers were led by senior John Driscoll (Seaford, N.Y./Seaford), who scored two of the three goals. Scouting The FDU-Florham Devils
        FDU-Florham is led by 12th-year head coach Pat Scarpello and enters Wednesday game with an 0-3 record with losses on the road to Kings Point (8-2 on 2/23) and at home to Drew (15-11 on 2/27) and Plattsburgh State (20-10 on 3/3). The Devils' leading scorer is junior Jake Higgins, who has 10 goals, while senior Joe Yobbi has picked up a team-high 12 groundballs and caused five turnovers. In goal, freshman Joe Miller has started all three games and has made 4.67 saves per game.
