        THROGGS NECK, N.Y. (March 22, 2013) – The Maritime men's lacrosse team (3-6) opens Skyline Conference action on Saturday afternoon, when the squad travels to Long Island to take on Farmingdale State College (2-4). The game is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. at the Rams' Outdoor Lacrosse Complex.
 
        Privateers Will Wear Crimson & Gold Ribbons On Cleats To Honor Seton Hill University WLAX
The Maritime men's lacrosse team will be joining the women's lacrosse program in wearing Crimson and Gold ribbons on their cleats on Saturday to honor the Seton Hill University women's lacrosse head coach Kristina Quigley, who tragically passed away last weekend in a bus accident while travelling with her team to an away contest.
 
        Maritime lacrosse is also urging supporters to make a donation to the Gavin Quigley Scholarship Fund to raise money for Quigley's young son Gavin. Inside The Series With Farmingdale St.
        In the past ten meetings dating back to the 2003 season, the Rams hold a 6-4 lead in the series. The last time the Privateers won a matchup with Farmingdale was back in the 2008 season, when they won 18-8 at Reinhart Field.
 
Last Time The Two Teams Met
        Farmingdale travelled to Throggs Neck on April 21 and spoiled Maritime's Senior Day game with a 16-3 victory. The Privateers were led by then-junior Kevin Winter (Brightwaters, N.Y./Bay Shore) (Brightwaters, N.Y./Bay Shore), who scored two goals, while classmate Ryan Schuster (Ossining, N.Y./Ossining) added the other score. Freshman Charles Kuhn (North Babylon, N.Y./St. John the Baptist) chipped in with an assist.
 
        Defensively, then-junior goalie Nick Barbuto (Seaford, N.Y./Seaford) (Seaford, N.Y./Seaford) led the team with four groundballs, while making 20 saves in the losing effort. He was replaced with just under five minutes to play by then-freshman Tyler Donovan (Hauppauge, N.Y./Hauppauge) (Hauppauge, N.Y./Hauppauge) who made one save.
 
        Farmingdale was led by Ryan Oswald, who tallied four goals and an assist, while Tim Caden also had five points with three goals and two assists. Goalie Patrick Delventhal made eight saves in over three quarters of action to earn the victory.
 
Scouting The Farmingdale St. Rams
        Farmingdale St. owns a 2-4 overall record thus far in 2013 under sixth-year head coach Tim Tuttle. The Rams are coming off a 13-8 win over Manhattanville College on Wednesday that snapped a two-game losing streak.
 
        Senior Bobby Thomas is the team's leading scorer with 14 points on four goals and 10 assists, while sophomore Matthew Finn has a team-high eight goals. Sophomore Donovan Devaney leads the Rams with 43 groundballs and is 67-for-107 on faceoffs for the season. Freshman goalie Thomas Fallon has a 2-4 record, an 11.64 goals against average and has made 9.16 saves per game.
