THROGGS NECK, N.Y. (March 13, 2013) – The Maritime men's lacrosse team (2-5) will look to take back the Maritime Cup from industry-rival school Massachusetts Maritime in the fifth installment of this rivalry game, as the Privateers host the Buccaneers on Saturday, March 16. The game will start at 1 p.m. at Reinhart Field.

Maritime will be providing concessions for the men's lacrosse game on Saturday. The vendor,
Julio Colon, will be stationed next to the stands at Reinhart Field and will have a snack stand along with hot dogs and soft beverages.
Inside The Series With Mass. Maritime
The two teams have met each of the past four seasons and SUNY Maritime holds a 3-1 series lead over its counterpart school in Massachusetts.

For the Bucs, then-freshmen Drew Prowse and Dylan Freudenberg both registered a game-high five points apiece on three goals and two assists. Then-sophomore goalie Paul Painten and senior Nate Lawson both had a team-high five groundballs and Painten made 14 saves in the victory.
Scouting The Mass. Maritime Buccaneers
Mass. Maritime enters Saturday's game with a 1-0 record under third-year head coach Rory Deegan. The Buccaneers earned a 7-5 road win over Anna Maria on March 12 in their first game of the season. Freudenberg and Prowse each notched hat tricks to lead the Bucs and Painten earned the win in goal, making seven saves between the pipes. Junior Fernando Harrington picked up a team-high six groundballs.
