MONTCLAIR, N.J. (April 18, 2012) – The Maritime men's lacrosse team lost to Skyline foe Montclair St., 20-4, Wednesday night in the Garden State at the Red Hawks' Sprague Field. The defeat drops the Privateers to 3-12 (2-3 Skyline) on the season, while Montclair remains undefeated in conference play with a 8-5 overall record (5-0 Skyline).

Kevin Winter (Brightwaters, N.Y./Bay Shore) (Brightwaters, N.Y./Bay Shore) recorded a hat trick for Maritime and assisted on the only other Privateer goal, which was scored by classmate

Steven Tonn (Wantagh, N.Y./Wantagh) (Wantagh, N.Y./Wantagh) both had a team-high two groundballs, while Tonn and freshman
Brendan McGrath (West Hartford, Conn./William H. Hall) (West Hartford, Conn./William H. Hall) each had two caused turnovers to lead Maritime.

For the Red Hawks, senior Tyler Meth (Basking Ridge, N.J.) led all players with seven points (5G, 2A). Classmate Matt Prongay (Edison, N.J.) had three goals and two assists, while senior goalie Mark Glander (Vernon, N.J.) made three saves in the first half to earn the victory.
Maritime is in action next on Saturday, April 21, when they play host to Skyline opponent Farmingdale State in the last home game of the regular season. Game time is scheduled for 1 p.m. at Reinhart Field.
