Men’s Lacrosse Game Day: Privateers Play Host To Plattsburgh State Friday Night At Reinhart Field

        THROGGS NECK, N.Y. (March 2, 2012) – The Maritime men's lacrosse team will play host to non-conference opponent Plattsburgh State Friday night in second game of the young season for the Privateers. First faceoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Reinhart Field.

        Friday night's contest will be the first Maritime men's lacrosse game to be broadcasted live from Reinhart Field! Play-by-play announcer Greg Rice will call all the action from tonight's game from the press box. The game will be streamed live from the UStream website, and the live audio can be accessed by clicking here. Selected games throughout the season, including the last two home games in April, will be broadcasted on UStream!
 
        There will also be live stats from the game, as MaritimeAthletics.com has partnered up with SIDEARM Sports to provide up-to-the-play statistics. The live stats will be available at all Privateer home games throughout the season. They can be accessed by clicking here.
 
Inside The Series With Plattsburgh St.
        This will be the fourth-straight season that the two teams have squared off against each other, with the Cardinals coming out on top in the previous three meetings. During the 2011 season, the Privateers hosted the SUNYAC opponent and lost by the score of 18-9. Graduated seniors Seth Collins (Owego, N.Y./Owego Free Academy) and Michael Hanratty (Floral Park, N.Y./Floral Park Memorial) each recorded two goals and one assists, while then-junior Steven Tonn (Wantagh, N.Y./Wantagh) (Wantagh, N.Y./Wantagh) and then-freshman Andrew Scalesi (New Fairfield, Conn./New Fairfield) (New Fairfield, Conn./New Fairfield) led the Maritime field players with four groundballs apiece. Keith Messina (West Sayville, N.Y./Sayville) made 11 saves in three quarters before being replaced by then-sophomore Nick Barbuto (Seaford, N.Y./Seaford) (Seaford, N.Y./Seaford), who stopped three shots.
