THROGGS NECK, N.Y. (March 17, 2012) – The Maritime men's lacrosse team will be traveling up Interstate-95 early Saturday to Buzzards Bay, Mass., to take on Massachusetts Maritime in a non-conference showdown with its northern rival. Game time is scheduled for 1 p.m. at the Buccaneers' Clean Harbors Stadium.
 
Inside The Series With Mass. Maritime
        Saturday's game will mark the fourth meeting in as many years between the two schools, with the Privateers coming out on top in all three previous games. Last season, Maritime defeated the Bucs by the close score of 7-5 at Reinhart Field. Seth Collins (Owego, N.Y./Owego Free Academy) tallied two goals and an assist to lead the Privateers, while then-sophomore Kevin Winter (Brightwaters, N.Y./Bay Shore) (Brightwaters, N.Y./Bay Shore) contributed a goal and classmate Matthew Messina (West Sayville, N.Y./Sayville) (West Sayville, N.Y./Sayville) chipped in with two assists.
