NEWBURGH, N.Y. (Oct. 9, 2012) – The Maritime women's soccer and volleyball teams shared a bus ride up to Mount St. Mary College Tuesday night for their Skyline contests against the Knights. Both teams lost to their conference-foes, however.
 
        The soccer team saw MSMC outshoot them, 29-4, en route to an 11-0 victory. Sophomore Gabrielle Fox (Strasburg, Pa./Lampeter-Strasburg) (Strasburg, Pa./Lampeter-Strasburg) and freshman Leanne Lavelle (New Windsor, N.Y./Washingtonville) (New Windsor, N.Y./Washingtonville) recorded the only two shots on goal for the Privateers. Goalkeeper Meghin Paczkowski (Oceanside, N.Y./Oceanside) (Oceanside, N.Y./Oceanside) recorded 12 saves on the night. For the box score from the soccer game, click here.         The volleyball team lost in straight-sets, 25-11, 25-9 and 25-4. Sophomore Sydney Carella (Greenville, N.Y./Greenville) (Greenville, N.Y./Greenville) led all players in the match with 11 digs, while also picking up a team-high two kills. Senior Jerrica Romero (Bronx, N.Y./Herbert H Lehman) (Bronx, N.Y./Lehman) registered three assists and one service ace. For the complete box score, click here.
