THROGGS NECK, N.Y. (Sept. 28, 2011) – The Maritime women's soccer team will take on Mount Saint Mary College on their home field tonight. The game is scheduled to get underway at 7 p.m.

Inside The Series

The two schools have played each other once each season for the past six years. Each year, Mount Saint Mary has been victorious over the Privateers. Last year, Maritime concluded its 2010 season with a 5-0 loss to the Blue Knights. Senior goalkeeper Andria Thornton (Saugerties, N.Y./Saugerties) recorded a personal best with a season-high of 18 saves while the Blue Knights' keeper Megan Cotta stopped two Maritime shots on goal. Then-sophomore forward Jorrie Trenkamp (Tabernacle, N.J./Seneca) (Tabernacle, N.J./Seneca) had both shots on goal for the Privateers and three shots in total, while senior co-captain Christina George (Southold, N.Y./Southold) recorded two shots in her final contest for Maritime.
