Women's Soccer Falls On The Road To Old Westbury Tuesday

WESTBURY, N.Y. (Oct. 5, 2010)  - The Maritime women's soccer team lost on the road, 10-0, to conference-opponent Old Westbury Tuesday afternoon at Panther Field. The loss drops the Privateers' record to 1-11 overall (1-4 Skyline), while the Panthers improve to 6-5 (4-1 Skyline).

In goal for the Privateers, sophomore Molly Divens (Beltsville, Md./Eleanor Roosevelt) (Beltsville, Md./Eleanor Roosevelt) made her first career start between the posts and came up strong, making 15 saves in the losing effort. Old Westbury keeper Chynna Pitlock made one save and claimed the victory. Six different players scored for the Panthers on the night, including Joanna Kettell who recorded a hat trick.

Maritime returns to action this Friday, Oct. 8, when the squad plays host to Skyline-foe Bard College. Kickoff against the Raptors is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Reinhart Field.
