THROGGS NECK, N.Y. (Sept. 30, 2009) – The Maritime women's soccer team lost to Farmingdale State, 10-0, in Skyline Conference action Wednesday night at Reinhart Field. With the loss, the Privateers fall to 6-4 (1-2 Skyline) on the season, while the Rams improve to 7-3-1 (3-0-1 Skyline).
Maritime held Farmingdale State scoreless for the first 22 minutes of the game, before the Rams broke through with their first goal of the evening. The score was 4-0 at halftime. Farmingdale State added six more tallies in the second half.
The Privateers return to action this Saturday, Oct. 3, when they play host to Skyline opponent, Mount Saint Mary. Kickoff against the Blue Knights is scheduled for noon at Reinhart Field.
