THROGS NECK, NY - The women's volleyball team completed their 2008 campaign last night with a 3-0 (25-22, 25-12, 25-18) win over Yeshiva University.  The win gave the Privateers their third victory, surpassing last year's win total.

Leading the way for the Privateers was freshman Natalie Jackson (Stockton, Calif./Bear Creek) (Stockton, CA/Bear Creek) who recorded 8 kills, 6 assists, 5 aces, and 11 digs.  Lilliana Lopez (Bronx, NY/Jane Adams) (Bronx, NY/Jane Adams) also had a great night, recording a team high 12 digs to go along with 3 serve aces.

The game was also celebrated as senior night, as the Privateers have three seniors on the team.  Yanjie Shi (Singapore/Ngeeann Polytechnic) (Singapore/Ngeeann Polytechnic), Cigdam Atbas (Istanbul, Turkey/Mahepe) (Turkey/Mahepe), and Jami-Lyn Butto (Lakeworth, Fla./Pope John Paul II) (Lakeworth, FL/Pope John Paul II) are the three seniors who played their final game as a Privateer.  The coaching staff and their teammates want to thank them for their hard work over their career, and wish them the best of luck in the future.
