Michele Murray is heading into her fifth season as the head coach of the Maritime Volleyball team in the Fall of 2019.
Murray's fourth year saw the Privateers just miss out on back-to-back postseason appearances as the team finished 4-6 in Skyline play. Highlighting the 2018 season were two five-set wins over conference opponents at home. On October 11, Maritime took out St. Joseph's Brooklyn and then five days later the team defeated Sarah Lawrence in five at Reisenberg Hall Gymnasium. Senior Meredith Hayes capped off an incredible career as a Privateer with Second-Team All-Conference honors.
In her third year with the program Murray guided the team back to postseason play with a four-win conference season. The team finished with 10 wins overall as the team reached the postseason for the third time in four seasons. Following the conclusion of the season Shannon Brady earned Skyline All-Conference First Team honors, and was the first All-Conference First Teamer under the direction of Murray.
During her second stint with the team, Murray guided the program to a 14-14 overall record with a 6-5 mark over Skyline Conference opponents. Included in her league victories was the only conference loss suffered by regular season champion Farmingdale. Following the season, Carly Lombardo earned her second consecutive Skyline All-Conference second team selection under the guidance of Murray.
Â
In her first season with the team, Maritime finished the year with a 16-15 overall record as the team became the first women's program at Maritime to finish with an overall record above .500. The team also qualified for the Skyline Conference Tournament for the second consecutive season and had its second straight All-Conference selection.
