Junior Patrick MacDonald was selected as the 2016-17 Maritime Athletics Male Athlete of the Year.
This season MacDonald became just the second player to reach 500 points in a season in modern-program history. Earlier in the season he became just the 13th player to reach the 1,000-point mark for his career. He has amassed 1,096 points, 689 rebounds, 92 blocks, 71 assists, and 47 steals in his 75 career games played. He has been a two-time Skyline All-Conference First team selection in his career, while also earning D3hoops.com All-Region accolades, ECAC Metro First Team Honors.
