Maritime junior catcher Stephen Semler was named Skyline Conference Player of the Week on Monday following a solid first pair of games for the Privateers.

He drove in six runs as he went 3-for-6 at the plate in the sweep. Semler had one hit in the opening game, which was a bases-clearing double in the Privateer five-run second inning. He followed that up with a triple and his first home run of the season in the second game as he drove in three more runs. His triple drove in two runs, which proved to be the difference in the team's 8-7 victory.
