Maritime College Athletics

Freshman Caitlin Cummings of Maritime dinghy sailing team helped the Privateers to a 14th place finish in Division A of the ICSA Co-Ed National Championships last week with 211 points.

Overall the team finished 17th at the championships at the New York Yacht Club in Newport, R.I. with 430 points overall.

On the season, Cummings took the position on Maritime's top crew at the War Memorial in early November and ran with it as she contributed to Maritime's strong finishes through the remainder of the fall, and throughout the spring seaosn.
