Senior pitcher Nick Sarna was named to the Skyline Conference Honor Roll for the first set of weekly awards by the league in early March. Sarna threw 77 pitches in his outing against Grace (Nebraska) in Florida, and struck out a career-best nine hitters over six innings of work. The Royals were only able to muster four hits and a pair of earned runs against the right-hander as they trailed the Privateers 4-2 by the time Sarna was removed from the game.
