Kristen “Sapo” Saporito returns to the Privateer squad as center back for her third and final season this fall. Saporito transferred from Suffolk Community College after her freshman year. Kristen played in 6 games in 2009 and 18 of the 2010 season. During her two seasons with the Privateers she has tallied 2 goals, 4 assists, 8 points and 20 shots.

Sapo’s strength and speed enable her to control the ball in our defensive third. Her powerful clears and pin point accuracy assist in generating our counter attack and transition. Kristen’s vocal field presence will be missed after this season.

Sapo has also been an instrumental offensive attack player for the Maritime women’s lacrosse program and has competed for the women’s cross country program as well. Prior to college Kristen played both soccer and lacrosse for Rocky Point HS.
