Biography

2020: Played in two out of seven total games played for the Privateers. At the conclusion of the season, he was named the Coaches Award winner at the 2019-20 Maritime Athletics Awards Show.

2019: Appeared in seven games for the Privateers and earned a start against Ramapo College. He finished the season with one hit, run scored and RBI as well as two walks drawn. 

2018: Saw time in one contest for the Privateers during his sophomore season…went 1-for-2 as he hit .500 on the year while making two defensive assists in the team’s Skyline Conference opener against Yeshiva (3/16).

 
2017: Appeared in five contests for the Privateers during his first season on the team…hit .286 on the year with two hits in seven at bats…also scored two runs and drove in a pair…made his collegiate debut in the second game of a doubleheader against Monmouth (Ill.) (3/9)…also picked up solo at bats in each game against New York University (3/29) and John Jay (4/15)…was 2-for-2 with a double and also walked while scoring two runs and driving in a pair in the team’s second game against Yeshiva (5/1)…collected one at bat in the team’s finale in the NCAA Division III Championship against Elizabethtown (5/19).

High School: Graduated from Kellenberg Memorial High School in Uniondale, N.Y. in 2016 … was a two-year member of the Firebird baseball team and also competed for one season on the varsity wrestling team.
 
Personal: Son of Theresa and Joseph Cordero … is majoring in International Transportation and Trade while at Maritime.
