2018: Appeared in 11 games for the Privateers during his senior season…made six starts on the year…hit .192 on the season with five hits in 26 at bats…drove in three runs and scored four…made his season debut in the team’s win over Southern Vermont (3/3)…registered two RBIs in the team’s second game win over Purchase (3/24)…picked up his first hit of the year in the opener against St. Joseph’s (LI) (3/25)…had a three-hit game and stole a base while scoring two runs in non-conference play against New Rochelle (3/27)…had a hit and drove in one run while scoring one run in action against Staten Island (4/6)…walked twice and scored a run in his final start of the year against Manhattanville (4/10)…had one at bat in the team’s Skyline Conference Championship First Round matchup with Merchant Marine (5/2).

(3/9)…followed that up with a two-hit performance as he drove in a pair against Bridgewater State (3/10)…got the start in the team’s matchup against New York University (3/29)…collected an RBI as he walked with the bases loaded in the team’s win over St. Joseph’s (Bklyn) (4/30)…followed that up with a run-scoring single against Yeshiva (5/1)…had a season-high five putouts and one assist defensively for the team in its NCAA Tournament matchup against Elizabethtown (5/19).

High School: Graduated from Nanuet Senior High School in Nanuet, N.Y. in 2014 … played two seasons of baseball for the Golden Knights at Nanuet … was a Second Team All-Section and also earned All-League honors while with the baseball team … also a team captain of the baseball team as a senior … also played three seasons of football and two years of basketball while in high school … earned All-League, All-Conference and Second Team All-County honors for the football team … was an All-League Honorable Mention selection for the basketball team.
 
Personal: Son of Maureen and Brian Verwoert … has two older siblings; Christina and Brian … plans to graduate from Maritime with a degree in International Transportation and Trade.
