2017: Saw time in eight games on the hill for the Privateers in his first season with the team and made one start…posted an 8.31 ERA in 8 2/3 innings this season…struck out 11 batters…made his collegiate debut and struck out the side on 11 pitches in the team’s second game of the season against Southern Vermont (3/5)…retired one batter in relief against Misericordia (3/8)…tossed three innings of relief against Drew (3/10)…struck out the side in a perfect inning against New York University (3/29)…made his lone start of the year and threw three scoreless innings on 66 pitches while striking out three batters against Lehman (4/11)…made one last appearance and got one batter in relief against St. Joseph’s (Bklyn) (4/22).

Personal: Son of Felicia and Nick Besh … has one older sibling; Avianna … is planning to earn his degree in Marine Transportation while at Maritime and also earn his U.S. Coast Guard Deck License.
