THROGGS NECK, NY – Emani Abdool (Islandia, NY) recorded her first hat trick as a member of the Maritime College women's soccer team in Saturday's 9-1 rout of St. Joseph's Brooklyn.  For that performance, she was honored as the Skyline Conference Rookie of the Week on Monday.

This is Abdool's second Skyline Rookie of the Week award.  She was previously recognized on Sept. 8 after scoring three times in the Privateers' first two games.  In the matchup with St. Joseph's Brooklyn, Abdool had a career-high seven points.  She assisted on Maritime's first goal of the contest, then found the back of the net in the 40^th minute.  Abdool added two second-half tallies, giving her a conference-leading seven on the season.

The Privateers (2-2-1, 1-0-0 Skyline) are back in action on Tuesday, when they visit Farmingdale (4-2-1, 1-0-0 Skyline) at 4 p.m.
