Box Score THROGGS NECK, N.Y. – The Privateers women's soccer team opened its 2018 season with a loss at home, falling to the Lehman College Lightning by a score of 3-1.
The Privateers fought hard all game on both ends of the field as they did not give up their first score until 40:59 in the first period. The solid effort on the defensive end was led by a group of starters in sophomore

In the 86
th minute, Kelly connected on her first goal of the 2018 season. Kelly's goal was assisted by junior
Leigh Kouril ( Yorktown Heights, N.Y./Yorktown). Kelly and Kouril combined for the four Maritime shots on the night.
Behind net,
Cammie Havens (Point Pleasant, N.J./Point Pleasant Borough) started right where she left of in 2017. Havens saved a total of seven goals. The seven saves gave Havens a 7-2 save advantage over the opposing goalie.
Maritime returns to action at home on Saturday September 9 as they host the City College of New York.
